3. Tignanello 2021, Marchesi Antinori - 6 Bottles

# 100683 - 3

This prestigious Tignanello 2021 from Marchesi Antinori ranks among the absolute icons of Italië and is considered a textbook example of the Super Tuscan style. The lot consists of 6 bottles and offers an excellent opportunity for aficionados and collectors looking for a wine with international allure, depth and storage potential. The wine combines power and precision with a remarkably elegant structure and a refined balance of fruit, acidity and wood.

The exceptional quality is underscored by the high rating: Vinous 98/100.

Tignanello is produced in the heart of the Chianti Classico and has played a key role in the development of modern Italian top wines. The combination of calcareous soils, a location at 350–400 meters altitude and precise vinification results in a wine with complexity, finesse and longevity.

In the nose, the wine presents itself intense and refined, with aromas’of ripe cherries, blackberries and blueberries, complemented by floral notes, Mediterranean spices, vanilla and a subtle hint of licorice. On the palate it is full and supple, with lively acidity, silky tannins and a long, balanced finish in which fruit and wood blend perfectly.

Vinification

Tignanello 2021 is made from Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. After manual harvest and rigorous selection, the grapes ferment in fermentation tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in barriques. The wine then ages approximately 14 to 16 months in French and Hungarian oak barrels, some new, followed by further bottle aging.

The Winery

Antinori is one of the world's leading wine families. For more than six centuries, spanning 26 consecutive generations, the Antinori name has been synonymous with quality, innovation and craftsmanship. From Chianti Classico to Super Tuscans, their wines enjoy worldwide recognition and countless awards.

The Tignanello vineyard is located between the Greve and Pesa rivers and is part of an estate of 319 hectares, with the famous Tignanello and Solaia plots. The limestone-rich soil and favorable location ensure optimal ripening and concentration.
